More Than a Plant Shop.

At The Plant House 208, based in Caldwell, Idaho - we believe plants have the power to heal, ground, and grow hope. That’s why every purchase goes beyond greenery — it supports horticultural therapy programs for individuals in recovery.

  • 🪴 Gift Houseplants for Milestones — Provide houseplants to individuals who graduate from substance use disorder (SUD) therapy, celebrating their growth and resilience.

  • 💚 Grow Access to Horticultural Therapy — Fund Heather’s journey to horticultural therapy certification and expand access to this healing intervention in recovery programs.

  • 🥕 Share the Harvest — Keep up with and share produce from our own gardens, ensuring healthy food and community connection reach those who need it most.

  • 🌱 Support Recovery with Garden Starts — Offer free vegetable garden starts to those actively engaged in recovery programs, helping them nurture life and experience the grounding benefits of gardening.

  • 🌻 Educate & Empower — Provide free education, resources, and one-on-one guidance on plant care, gardening, and sustainable living practices.

**Horticultural therapy is an evidence-based practice that uses the act of gardening and connecting with plants to support emotional, physical, and social well-being. Research shows that caring for plants can reduce stress, build confidence, and promote healing — making it a powerful tool in recovery programs.**

Meet Heather & Mac

Hi, I’m Heather — Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, MSW student, and founder of The Plant House 208. With my Frenchton sidekick Mac (professional mischief-maker), I’m growing more than plants. I’m cultivating recovery, self-care, and community through every leaf and root. What started as a love for dirt and healing has bloomed into a mission: to connect plants with people in recovery and beyond. Tap below to see how this beautifully wild journey began.
